Bangladesh is a South Asian country located on the Bay of Bengal, bordered by India to the west, north, and east, and Myanmar (Burma) to the southeast. It is characterized by its fertile plains, dominated by the Ganges-Brahmaputra delta, which is one of the largest river deltas in the world. The country is predominantly low-lying and prone to flooding, with the Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world, situated in the southwestern region.
